Bicycle Service
Having gathered a wealth of knowledge through many years of working on all kinds of bicycles and having the right facilities to carry out any kind of repair, Hounslow Bike prides itself on being able to offer a comprehensive repair and maintenance service for your bike.
Ensuring that your bike is properly serviced and maintained will help keep it spinning smoother for longer. We recommend that you book your bike in for a service with us at least once or twice (better) a year. A full service will identify and correct all problems, making your bike run like new again, and give you the confidence for those long days in the saddle.

The Elite Service – £80.00 (full-suspension MTBs and bikes with internal cable routing £90.00)
1. Stripping and Cleaning
- Strip, degrease and clean wheelset (tyres, rims, spokes and hubs)
- Strip, degrease and clean drivetrain (chainrings, chain, derailleurs and cassette)
- Strip, degrease and clean brake callipers
- Degrease and clean frameset, finishing kit and leavers
2. Wheel Service
- Strip, clean & regrease hubs, and replace hub bearings (bearings available in steel/ceramic)
- True wheels
- Polish wheelset with Teflon bike cleaner
- Inflate tyres
3. Headset & Bottom Bracket Service
- Strip, clean, replace or regrease headset and bottom bracket (bearings and threads)
- Rebuild & adjust bottom bracket and headset
4. Rebuild
- Clean, lubricate and test all bicycle components and parts
- Clean and inspect frameset and finishing kit (handlebar, stem, seat post, saddle)
- Refit drivetrain and brake callipers
- Refit shifters – include new stainless steel inner cables
- Refit brake cables/leavers – w/stainless steel inner cables for non-hydraulic bikes
- Refit wheelset to bike
- Prep brakes
- Lubricate chain, adjust derailleurs, index and prep gears
- Finish off – bar tape (if required), add ferrules, etc
- Polish with bike cleaner
- Road test
The Standard Service – £50.00 (full-suspension MTBs and bikes with internal cable routing £55.00)
1. Wheel Service
- Check and adjust bearings/cone-nuts
- True wheelset
- Spin test
- Inflate tyres
2. Headset & Bottom Bracket Service
- Check and adjust headset and bottom bracket (bearings and threads)
3. Prep and Reset
- Inspect, lubricate and test all bicycle components and parts
- Inspect frameset and finishing kit (handlebar, stem, seat post, saddle)
- Inspect drivetrain components for damage or wear (replace where necessary)
- Service brakes – leavers and callipers – w/new stainless steel inner cables
- Service gears – add new SS inner cables, prep and index
- Lubricate chain
- Road test
Child Bike Service
- Children’s bikes (20”/no gears) – £25.00
- 20” bikes with gears – £30.00
